The 8th International Conference on Information Technology, ICIT 2017 is a forum for scientists, engineers, and practitioners to present their latest research results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of Information Technology. ICIT 2017 will include presentations of contributed papers and state-of-the-art lectures by invited keynote speakers.
ICIT 2017 is being organized at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan (ZUJ), Jordan, in a joint effort with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. It will be held at ZUJ campus. This joint effort comes as a progressive step in international cooperation in organizing the ICIT conference, which has been involving academics, researchers, professionals and international organizations from countries around the globe in its conferences since 2003. However, this is the first time the ICIT conference will be held in cooperation with another university.
ZUJ was established in 1993 where it offers graduate and undergraduate programs in various disciplines. Faculty members and students at ZUJ have been publishing research papers in international journals and conferences, and receiving funds from local and international organizations for some of their research projects. ZUJ hosts different conferences, along with many scientific and social activities, and it is actively involved in serving the local community.
USM was established as the second largest university of Malaysia in 1969. It offers graduate and undergraduate programs in various disciplines at three different campuses. USM has 17 dedicated research centers for a wide range of specializations, where USM has been recognized as a Research Intensive University by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in 2007. USM and many of its faculty members received several national and international scientific achievement awards.
The cooperation between ZUJ and USM should provide added value to the ICIT quality, organization, and international recognition.
Each submitted paper will go through a blind* reviewing process by at least three reviewers. Accepted papers will be indexed in
1- IEEE Xplore (https://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/conferencedetails/index.html?Conf_ID=41061)
2- Scopus (https://supportcenter.ieee.org/app/answers/detail/a_id/510/~/is-ieee-xplore-digital-library-content-indexed-in-scopus%3F).
Extended versions of the conference selected best papers will be evaluated to be published in journals that will be announced later.
*blind peer review: Authors are unaware of the identity of reviewers. There are at least three reviewers for each submitted article.
Each submitted paper will go through plagiarism checking using the crosscheck-IEEE tool.
IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, including IEEE Xplore® Digital Library, if the paper is not presented by the author at the conference.
If the paper is not presented by one of the authors at the conference, ICIT 2017 reserves the right to uncover the accommodation.
