Author Kit

The ICIT 2023 paper submission and review processes will be entirely electronic and will be conducted online using EDAS as described below:

  • Authors who wish to participate in the conference need to register with the EDAS on-line submission system and then use it to submit their full papers.
  • Full paper submission (up to 6 pages) must be completed on or before the "Paper Submission" deadline listed in the Important Dates section
  • The submitted papers should be in word format accroding to IEEE template (Download Template.docx)
  • The submitted full papers will be peer reviewed, using the online review system, by experts selected by the conference Technical Program Committee for their demonstrated knowledge of relevant topics. The results of the review process will be posted on this website, and authors will also be notified by email. Review results will be ready by the date of "Review Decision Notifications".
  • Authors of accepted papers will prepare a final version of their papers and will submit it using the EDAS online submission system. The version of the final manuscript will be substantially the same as the submitted full paper but will take into account reviewers' comments. The final paper must be completed and submitted on or before the "Final Submission and Author Registration" deadline.
  • The final version of an accepted paper will appear in the conference proceedings provided that at least one of the authors registers. This must be carried out on or before the "Final Submission and Registration" deadline

Applications of Artificial Intelligence Methods in Medicine

Abstract: In modern dynamic, constantly developing society more and more people suffer from noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and chronic respiratory disease. They are the leading cause of death worldwide and represent an emerging global health threat. Moreover, the population in a lot of countries is getting more and more old and need medical and health care.

Accordingly, world renowned health stakeholders have been recognized importance of development of services that will support and help patients suffering from different kinds of diseases in everyday activities.

Scheduling Applications with Time Constraints in Sustainable Cloud, Fog and Mist Computing Platforms

Abstract Due to the recent technological advancements such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and the development of smart environments, traditional Cloud computing is insufficient in transferring a huge volume of data generated by IoT devices. As a result, Fog and Mist computing have been established as computing paradigms to solve problems related to network bandwidth, transmission latency and security. The majority of the IoT applications typically require processing in a real-time manner and the target is to ensure that all deadlines are met. Therefore, it is necessary to employ appropriate scheduling techniques, in order to exploit the full potential of cloud, fog and mist computing systems and to achieve the required quality of service level.

Beyond securing networks and storage: emerging attacks and defenses to machine intelligence

Abstract Over the past three decades most research efforts in security and privacy have focused on network and storage security. Recently, Deep Neural Network (DNN) classifiers gain wide adoption in different complex tasks, including natural language processing, computer vision and cyber security. However, the underlying assumption of attack free operating environment has been defied by the introduction of several attacks such as adversarial examples and Trojan backdoor attacks. In Adversarial attacks the adversary perturbs the input examples during inference to force the DNN to misclassify while the adversary in the Trojan Backdoor operates in both training and inference phases. .......

A Holistic View of Accreditation to Augment University and Faculty Competitiveness

Abstract A Holistic View of Accreditation to Augment university and Faculty Competitiveness Accreditation is not only a marketing tool for institutions to attract students, it is a testament to proactive and high-quality curriculum design and delivery. It tells your students, their families, the community and the world that your institution is serious about education. But, all too often, the application for accreditation is seen as a hurdle to overcome as opposed to being an opportunity for inward looking self-assessment and an opportunity to develop meaningful strategic plans for continuous improvement. Handled correctly, the accreditation process is a win-win-win exercise. The university wins, the faculty/ies win and the students win. .............
