Abstract: In modern dynamic, constantly developing society more and more people suffer from noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and chronic respiratory disease. They are the leading cause of death worldwide and represent an emerging global health threat. Moreover, the population in a lot of countries is getting more and more old and need medical and health care.
Accordingly, world renowned health stakeholders have been recognized importance of development of services that will support and help patients suffering from different kinds of diseases in everyday activities. For development of adequate medical services, comprehensive medical architectures, smart environments, and intelligent decision support systems collection of huge amounts of patient’s complex big data (like clinical, environmental, nutritional, everyday activities, data from smart devices …) is needed. Such data should be properly aggregated, analyzed and obtained results must be presented to the doctors/caregivers in trustworthy and friendly manner to recommend adequate treatment and actions to improve patient’s health related factors and status. To achieve reliable decisions and recommendations the focus will be on personalized medicine and healthcare. Additionally, we will also present important aspects of development of sophisticated e-coaching facilities supported by agent and metaverse technologies to obtain proper recommendations and advice to patients to increase their wellbeing.
